On this day in 2008: Fidelis Omeni, an official of Ministry of Environment said, Nigeria was suspended from the International Convention on Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) for alleged breaches of its provisions.


Also, on this day in 2011: In Jos, a bomb carried by two men aboard a motorcycle killed them when it accidentally exploded.

Equally,on this day in 2014 : In northeast region, an explosion at Ngurosoye village market near hideouts of Islamic extremists killed twenty nine (29) people
